Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality is preparing mosques in district centers for Ramadan. The teams, which thoroughly clean the inside and courtyard of the mosques, leave them very clean and ready for prayers, allowing the citizens to pray in a healthy environment.

Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality accelerated its routine cleaning works in mosques in the month of Ramadan. The sanctuary cleaning teams, which serve under the Department of Health and Social Affairs of the Metropolitan Municipality, continue to work in the mosques located in the centers of all districts, respectively. The teams, which have completed their work in Sındırgı, Ayvalık, Gömeç, Burhaniye and Edremit since the beginning of Ramadan, continue their work in the mosques in centers of İvrindi, Dursunbey and Savaştepe.

MOSQUES ARE BEING DISINFECTED IN EVERY NOOK AND CRANNY

In order to ensure that the citizens can perform their prayers in a healthy environment, the teams carefully and meticulously clean every corner of the mosques, wash the carpets with pressurized hot water, wipe the tiles and windows, clean the toilets and disinfect the whole place. Lastly, Hürriyet Mosque İmam Hatip Ömer Karaoğlan, who thanked the Metropolitan Municipality, its teams and Mayor Yücel Yılmaz for carrying out the cleaning works in the Hürriyet Mosque located in the center of the Savaştepe district, stated that the interior and exterior cleaning of the mosques is done meticulously.
