OSB Road Section 3 Will Breathe Life into City Traffic

Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Yücel Yılmaz examined the works on the 3rd part of the 3-stage 4 thousand 700-meter OSB Road passing through Çayırhisar Neighborhood in order to relieve the traffic of the Organized Industrial Zone.

Mayor of Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality Yücel Yılmaz, together with Altıeylül Mayor Hasan Avcı, inspected the 4-lane road started by the Metropolitan Municipality teams with their own labor force. The city traffic will breathe a sigh of relief when the other two lanes of the 3rd section road, two of which have been completed and opened to traffic, are completed. After the completion of the 3,100-meter OSB - Atatürk City Hospital Section 1 and the 500-meter Atatürk City Hospital - İzmir Road Section 2, the construction of the 1,100-meter Section 3 road started; Starting from İzmir Road, it passes through Çayırhisar Neighborhood and continues until Technical High School Street. When the 3rd section is completed, vehicles coming from OSB and İzmir Road will have direct access to Gümüşçeşme, Gündoğan, AVLU Balıkesir and Paşaalanı neighborhoods from the upper part of the Dental Hospital. The 4,700-meter-long, 20-meter-wide, two-way, 4-lane road with energy-saving lighting systems and a bicycle path is being constructed by the teams of the Metropolitan Municipality Road, Construction, Maintenance and Repair Department. Thanks to the road; the traffic congestion on Gaziosmanpaşa Neighborhood Yakup Şevki Paşa Street, the train switch near the Cotton Weaving Factory, the Courthouse area and Savaştepe Street will end.

Emphasizing that they are nearing the end of the ring road that will breathe life into the city, Mayor Yılmaz said, "As soon as it is opened, it will relieve the traffic on Bandırma Street, Vasıf Çınar Street, Kepsut Street, Cengiz Topel Street in Balıkesir, in short, in the whole city. The kilometers people will travel will decrease and they will reach the places they want to reach faster."
