Working in line with Mayor Yücel Yılmaz's vision of "Sports City Balıkesir", Metropolitan Municipality delivers sports equipment to all schools in 20 districts. Speaking at the distribution ceremony for students in Bandırma, Erdek and Marmara Island, Mayor Yılmaz said, "We dream the best of everything for our children and make it a reality."

Mayor of Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality Yücel Yılmaz came together with trainee students and their parents at Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality Bandırma Youth and Sports Centre located in Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University, where youth and sports activities are carried out in the joint use of university-public-municipality, a first in Türkiye. Mayor Yılmaz watched the activities of the children at the Youth and Sports Centre and took the opinions of the parents about the facility.

SUPPORT FOR SCHOOLS

Mayor Yücel Yılmaz, who distributed sports equipment to schools affiliated to the Ministry of National Education in Bandırma, Erdek and Marmara Island, said "Our children are very precious to us, we dream the best of everything for them and we make these dreams come true. With the aim of raising a healthy generation intertwined with sports, we provide sports equipment support to schools affiliated to the Ministry in all 20 districts."

TOGETHER WITH UNIVERSITY STUDENTS

Immediately after the program at Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality Bandırma Youth and Sports Centre, Mayor Yılmaz met with the university students waiting for him at Bandırma University Conference Hall and was greeted with great enthusiasm. Within the scope of "Mayor Meets with Young People" programme, Mayor Yılmaz frequently came together with university students and gave a speech giving examples of lives dedicated to success to young people. Mayor Yücel Yılmaz was accompanied by Prof. Dr. Süleyman Özdemir, Rector of Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University.
