Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality Transportation Planning and Rail Systems Department Transportation Inspection Branch Directorate teams carry out inspections for service vehicles within routine inspection and control activities. 

In order to ensure that citizens benefit from public transportation services in a fast, safe and comfortable manner, Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality routinely carries out inspections and controls to ensure that public transportation vehicles, commercial taxis, personnel and school buses operate in accordance with the legislation on licenses and special service vehicle permits, fare tariffs, whether the vehicles are driven by the driver registered in the license, excess passengers and time schedules. Teams are working hard to ensure that all school buses are ready for the return of the holiday break. During the transportation of students to their schools, it was checked whether they safely benefit from transportation services and whether the service vehicle operators operate in accordance with the legislation. 

NO STANDING PASSENGERS!

During the inspections, checks will continue to be carried out to ensure that there are no standing and excessive students in the vehicle, that transportation is provided with seat belts fastened, that the guide staff is working in the vehicles carrying pre-school and primary school students, whether the technical equipment of the service vehicles is suitable for student transportation, and whether the service operators have / have not obtained a license / special permit from the municipality.
