Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality and district municipalities' budgets for 2024 were determined. All budgets were unanimously approved by the council members. While the budget of the metropolitan municipality is set at 12 billion, Balıkesir will be governed with a budget of 23 billion 452 million 583 thousand 431 liras, including the district municipalities.

Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality Council discussed the Plan and Budget Commission reports on the 2024 Financial Income and Expenditure Budget of the Metropolitan Municipality and district municipalities in the 2nd Session of November and the reports were unanimously approved by the Metropolitan Municipality Council Members. While the budget of the Metropolitan Municipality was determined as 12 billion, the 2024 revenue budget of Balıkesir together with the district municipalities was determined as 23 billion 452 million 583 thousand 431 liras in total.
