"Under the leadership of Yücel Yılmaz, Mayor of Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality, NE10 City Technologies Workshop, which aims to get children interested in technology and develop their coding skills at an early age, teaches the codes and technologies of the future by providing free coding training to children aged 8-17 in 18 districts of Balıkesir.
THE VISION OF MAYOR YÜCEL YILMAZ IS BEING RESHAPED IN LITTLE HANDS!
This special workshop, as a project implemented upon the instruction of Yücel Yılmaz, Mayor of Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality, aims to develop children's interest in technology and coding skills at an early age. Accompanied by expert software trainers, the workshop aims to teach children not only the use of computers but also problem solving skills, critical thinking capacities and teamwork skills.
BALIKESİR TRAINS THE TECHNOLOGY LEADERS OF THE FUTURE WITH NE10 WORKSHOP!
Mayor of Metropolitan Municipality Yücel Yılmaz pointed out that Balıkesir is in a great competition for NE10 City Technologies Workshop initiated by NE10 City Research and Technology Development Centre and said: "The world is not a world where those who do not change take place. No matter how strong we are today, if we cannot compete with time and prepare our youth for the conditions of the future, we will be left behind. We are designing not only the present but also the future."
RAISING TOMORROW'S LEADERS WITH TECHNOLOGY
Stating that investments are made in various fields for young people in Balıkesir, Mayor Yücel Yılmaz said, "We have different projects in the fields of sports, technology and managing the future. Our expectation from our parents is that they trust us, entrust their children to us and support us. The rest is our responsibility. There will be great changes in the near future because software will start to control everything. It is our duty to raise young people who will be pioneers in this field."
"EXPERT TOUCH IN CERTIFIED EDUCATION: "NE10 CITY TECHNOLOGIES WORKSHOP"
This special workshop was first held in Susurluk BALMEK Building on 2-3-9-10 December. For registration to the courses that will start in other districts, information can be obtained from the NE10 website at www.ne10balikesir.com or from the 444 23 10 call centre.
Children do not need any prior training or knowledge for participation, and the certified training process will last 2 weeks in total. The workshop, which will be held on Saturdays and Sundays, will consist of a total of 8 lesson hours, 2 lesson hours each day.
NE10 CITY TECHNOLOGIES TOUCHES THE DREAMS OF LITTLE GENIUSES!
Another part of the programme is a workshop titled "Create Your Own App" for 4-5-6-7-8-8-9-10-11-12th grade students. With this training, children will learn how to make their own apps for both iPhones and Androids, while gaining practical knowledge on topics such as simple mobile games, quotation apps or apps that help their personal diet routines.
THE JOURNEY OF LITTLE HANDS TO BIG KNOWLEDGE: CODE THE FUTURE AT NE10!
In addition, the "Digital Illustration" workshop for 2nd and 3rd graders teaches students the basic techniques of digital drawing and illustration. Workshop participants will learn how to use the necessary IT tools for work while developing their digital art skills.
