BALPARK, a subsidiary of Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality, is equipping car parks with state-of-the-art equipment upon the instruction of Mayor Yücel Yılmaz. Equipping all of the car parks with security cameras, installing empty-full platform information signalling systems in parking garages, BALPARK is commissioning BALŞARJ Stations to charge electric vehicles.
BALPARK, which provides car parking services under Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality in 50 locations, including 4 indoor, 1 technological, others open and on the street, is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment with the instruction of Mayor Yücel Yılmaz. BALPARK, a subsidiary of the Metropolitan Municipality, which follows the innovations in order to provide more comfortable and safe car parking services to the people of Balıkesir, has completed the security camera installations in all car parks and made them monitored 24/7. BALPARK, which started to bring electric charging stations to its car parks, which have become a need due to the widespread use of domestic vehicles TOGG and other electric vehicles in the city, started the installation of BALŞARJs in Zağnos Paşa Mosque Square Underground Car Park.
IT WILL PROVIDE SERVICE AT 72 POINTS THROUGHOUT THE CITY
The BALŞARJ Stations, 12 of which will be put into service by the end of 2023, will be commissioned at 72 points throughout the city by the end of 2024. Fast chargers (DC) for citizens who are in a hurry and want to charge quickly, and normal chargers (AC) for citizens who have time will serve in car parks. BALŞARJ Stations will also be installed at the Avlu Life Centre and Ahmet Edip Uğur Youth Culture and Activity Centre, where citizens spend a lot of time.

In addition, BALPARK, which completed the installation of empty-full platform information signalling systems in Zağnos Paşa Mosque Square Underground Car Park and Koca Seyit Car Park, made it easier for citizens to find empty spaces.
FIRST VEHICLE WILL BE CHARGED AT THE END OF DECEMBER
İhsan Tezcan, Deputy General Manager in charge of bus stations and car parks of Balıkesir Toplu Taşıma (Public Transport INC.) AŞ, said: "With the directives of Yücel Yılmaz, we have started the necessary infrastructure works to commission our electric charging stations as BALPARK in order to catch up with the developing technology and the requirements of the century. We will start charging our first vehicle at the end of December."
