Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Yücel Yılmaz presented the book “Mehmet Akif Ersoy’a Saygı” ("Respect for Mehmet Akif Ersoy"), which is the municipality's own publication, to young people at the Mehmet Akif Ersoy Commemoration Days Program held in Ankara. Mayor of Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality Yücel Yılmaz attended Mehmet Akif Ersoy Commemoration Days Program organized by AK Party Headquarters Youth Branch Presidency in Ankara ATO Congresium. Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality also took part in the event with its "Respect for Mehmet Akif Ersoy" stand. Stating that they took part in the commemoration days as a fellow countryman of Hasan Basri Çantay, one of Mehmet Akif Ersoy's closest friends, Mayor Yılmaz said that they exhibited the archival book about Mehmet Akif Ersoy at their stand.

Mayor Yılmaz said, "Apart from our Mehmet Akif Ersoy book, we have other cultural publications such as olives, bread and cheese. We have presented nearly 3 thousand books to our young people. I would like to thank everyone who contributed here, especially our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan."
