Visiting the 'Handmade Products Fair' organized by Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality with his wife Mehtap Yılmaz, Mayor Yücel Yılmaz visited the stands of entrepreneur women one by one and examined their products. The women thanked Mayor Yılmaz for offering them this opportunity to sell their handmade and unique products and stated that they made very good sales before the New Year.
Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality, which always supports women entrepreneurs and constantly implements new projects in this regard, is organizing a "Handcrafted Products Fair" at 10 Burda Shopping Mall between December 26-31. Mayor Yücel Yılmaz, who visited the fair with his wife Mehtap Yılmaz, visited all the stands one by one and examined the products produced by entrepreneur women and the cooperatives established by entrepreneur women who received training in BALMEKs and NE10 City Technologies Research Center within the Metropolitan Municipality. The cooperative members, who showed great interest in Mayor Yücel Yılmaz and his wife Mehtap Yılmaz, thanked them for their support and introduced their unique and high quality handmade products. Citizens also showed great interest in the stands of entrepreneur women and made purchases.

Stating that handicrafts are very valuable and women entrepreneurs should be supported, Mayor of Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality Yücel Yılmaz; "We pioneered the establishment of 36 women's cooperatives in Balıkesir, bringing women together to produce. Of course, they also need a market share. There are many different sales techniques for them to bring income to their homes. Online sales, sales from the shop… We wanted them to meet each other and have an event here at the fair. The fair really achieves its purpose. Many handcrafted products produced by our women before the New Year can be gifts. It was a good event in terms of timing, meaning and relevance. I would like to thank our teammates who contributed and the mall managers who provided us with this opportunity."
