Yücel Yılmaz, the current mayor of Balıkesir, who was announced as AK Party's candidate for Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality again, was welcomed in a festive atmosphere with the magnificent enthusiasm of the people of Balıkesir on his return from Istanbul. Addressing the citizens at Ali Hikmet Pasha Square where a huge crowd gathered, Mayor Yılmaz said: "Serving our Balıkesir is the most honorable and proudest duty for us. We will work hard to make Balıkesir number one in Türkiye."

Yesterday, at the Candidate Presentation Meeting held at Haliç Congress Center in Istanbul, the current Metropolitan Mayor Yücel Yılmaz, who was announced by President and AK Party Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan as the Mayor Candidate of Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality for the March 31st Local Elections, was welcomed by the people of Balıkesir on the roads. Welcomed with a great flood of love at Değirmen Boğazı, Mayor Yücel Yılmaz's vehicle was stopped at Paşaalanı Neighborhood and the people of Balıkesir expressed their happiness. Then, getting out of the vehicle in front of the Ordu Evi, Mayor Yücel Yılmaz, together with his wife Mehtap Yılmaz, was welcomed with great happiness and intense interest by the citizens despite the pouring rain. Walking from Milli Kuvvetler Street to Ali Hikmet Paşa Square together with the enthusiastic people of Balıkesir, Mayor Yücel Yılmaz was greeted with the cheers of the citizens when he arrived at the square.

AK PARTY STAFF SUPPORTS YÜCEL YILMAZ

AK Party Provincial Chairman Mehmet Aydemir, who made the opening speech by saying that they are really joyful and happy, but one side of them is mourning for Hüseyin Murat Uysal, the President of the Provincial Youth Branches who lost his life, said: "Mayor Yılmaz has built and will continue to build everywhere from the countryside to Gulf without making any discrimination in all his works in 20 districts. We worked for 5 years for total development. We have 20 districts. We are developing each of the 20 districts.

I promise that we will work day and night with our teams to serve our 20 districts without excuses, and we will work to make Balıkesir number one in everything in Türkiye. Young people will not look for a job in Balıkesir, the soil will be fertile in Balıkesir. Balıkesir will be a barrier-free city, our disabled citizens will not have difficulties. Business people in Balıkesir will not be hindered, investments will be made. All NGOs will be supported. We are not telling a dream when we say this. We have already been doing this for 5 years. We are promoting and supporting Balıkesir's industry, NGOs, Chambers of Commerce, lamb, cheese, bread and rice.
